Range of American Air Filter products

The product range of American Air Filter includes a variety of air filters for homes, hospitals, industrial plants, commercial buildings, and schools, dust collection systems for industrial use, gas turbine air filtration systems and much more.

Their air filters are in the form of Pleated Filters, Bag Filters, Box Filters, Ring Panels, HEPA (high efficiency particulate air) Filters, Panels, Cube Filters and Auto-Roll Filters. To improve the air quality in your homes, AAF International produce high quality air filters that are either disposable or reusable. Depending on the type of material used for filters and the amount of pollutants in your environment, disposable filters may last up to three months. Reusable filters would need to be cleaned once a month.

American Air Filter offers six types of air filters for room air conditioners. These ‘Cut-'n'-Fit’ filters are made of polyester, polyurethane foam, supported polyurethane foam, latex coated natural fiber, expanded aluminum, and fiberglass. Other than the fiberglass filters, the remaining five can be reused after repeated cleaning.

When used with the AmerKleen M-80 prefilter, the DuraCel XL and XLN Extended Surface Barrier Filter is rated for high temperatures and tough operating conditions that require high dust holding capacity and low pressure drop in machinery intake air systems. The High Efficiency Compact Mini-Pleat Filter DuraVee, with a glass fiber woven media, is designed as the final filter in machinery intake systems requiring long service life. Characterized by a high dust holding capacity and long service life, DriPak 2000 Filter having a single layer of synthetic media is used as a prefilter to higher efficiency filters. Designed for gas turbine installations, a panel type AmAir® 300GT PreFilter provides high efficiency and long service life with a low pressure drop.

A case of 12 filters of the smallest 10 x 20 x 1” size costs $99.20 and the case of 6 filters of the largest 24 x 4 x 4” size is priced at $ 145.30. The AmAir® 300X Extended Pleated Filter of the same sizes and packs are priced at $98.36 and $87.98 respectively.

MERV (Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value) is a standard rating used to compare filters made by different companies. It is a filter's ability to trap particles ranging in size from 3.0 microns to 10.0 microns. Residential filters usually have MERV ratings of 1-12. The higher the MERV rating, the more efficient the filter is. All the American Air Filter products have been MERV rated. They have a range of products rated from MERV 4 to MERV 11. The high MERV 11 rating means that that particular product has a minimum of 85% - 95% efficiency in capturing particles of 3.0 microns to 10.0 microns.
